- Enable teachers to manage courses and track student attendance.
- Allow students to enroll in courses and view their attendance history.

Data is stored on Firebase Cloud Firestore (Google Cloud Platform) servers located in the United States (nam5 region).
- We use Firebase's industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest.
- We implement authentication and authorization controls to ensure only authorized users can access their data.
- QR codes use daily-rotating tokens to prevent unauthorized attendance marking.
- No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we use reasonable safeguards to protect your information.
6. Data Retention
We keep attendance data as follows:
- Active courses: Data is retained for the duration of the course.
- Completed courses: Data is automatically deleted 30 days after the course end date to save database space and reduce costs.
- Teachers can export attendance data to CSV before automatic deletion.
- Users can delete their accounts at any time, which will remove their personal information.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your attendance data (export to CSV).
- Correct: Update your name and password in the app settings.
- Delete: Delete your account and associated data.
- Object: Leave courses you're enrolled in.
- Restrict: Control what data you share.
